International cooperation project in Senegal
What to know
Fratellanza Popolare promotes an international cooperation project in Senegal aimed at implementing a public assistance ambulance service in the Niomré commune, in the Louga Region. The initiative aims to develop a system based on the principles of mutual self-help, a fundamental pillar of Fratellanza Popolare, to offer a complete range of medical services to the local community. The ambulance service is designed to ensure effective and timely medical transports, responding to the specific needs of patients.
Among the services provided are transfers to healthcare facilities, specialized visits, diagnostic exams, and the transport of discharged patients to their homes, ensuring the continuity of medical care. The project also includes the organization of courses for rescuers and first aid training, aimed at members of the community who want to acquire practical skills and useful in emergency situations. Finally, through school activities, Fratellanza Popolare aims to involve young people in the community, sensitizing them on the importance of volunteering and solidarity. These initiatives offer them the opportunity to get to know the Association closely and to become active part of a solidarity system.
