The current novelty is the birth of the canine unit of the Civil Protection of Fratellanza Popolare, consisting of an instructor and two conductors. The dogs, two Belgian Malinois, are trained for the search for missing people. Very intelligent molecular dogs have the ability to distinguish each smallest odor thanks to the billions of olfactory receptors they are equipped with. They follow a weekly training course to be always ready to leave in case of need in Italy or in the international field, making part of the mobile column of civil protection of Anpas. Gentle, affectionate, and loving, they are an attraction for children during the days of presentation of the volunteer activities in schools.
